It is good to follow the right procedure when undertaking any form of a scheme. Ensure you are aware of all the zoning ordinances of a region, the legal framework and authorities governing an area. Know and listen to the members. Whether you want to be among the members, know their issues or articulate the available concerns, familiarizing with issues is not optional. Look keenly to know the available resources, how the decision making procedure is handled and the responsible personnel. Meet people and share visions. Have a meeting involving stakeholders and all actors of the specific project. It is an essential step involving gathering data for use in finalizing during the decision-making process. Involving the heads of organizations established will be helpful in trickling the information to the grassroots. This speeds up the process and a way forward is known on the extent to which the initiative affects members.

Examine the resources present in neighborhoods. In most parts, you realize the richness in terms of minerals, assets and other natural resources meaningful to a given society. Through their identification, you can define issues, set objectives and come up with visions for the developments. Inquire from the available leaders and have the opinions on how such resources should be handled in relation to such developments.

Assist in bringing change and solutions. The working team has an obligation to identify issues of concern, find how to articulate them and know the root cause. This is the objective of any process that lifts the status of an area from one level to another. Members consulted will help define the real causes to be addressed and offer potential solutions. These people are knowledgeable and aware of the area than any other external expert.

Action implementation. This is a duty for the selected steering committee. Implementation strategies are defined depending on the complexity of projects and how simple financing can be achieved. Identification of human resources to back up the process, capacity building, and other experts to bring in additional knowledge to achieve goals is important. Setting the appropriate time frame is also an activity requiring very urgent attention.

Oversight and evaluating actions. This is more of a supervisory role and it is normally a mandate of the selected committee. You realize that all the phases at this stage are almost done and the remaining role is to ascertain whether there are any controversies with the law of the land. Note that the impacts of developments should be of positive impact and bring positive change to members.

Reflect and regrouping. This is the last stage involving allowing the group members regroup and take a break. Then thanking everyone for the participation is vital at this level. Ensure there is a consistent communication afterward to address any issues likely to arise. In a collaborative manner, discuss the organizational success and the effectiveness of the regulatory framework alluded. This will help solve potential problems.
