For people who use credit sparingly, they might think that it isn't necessary knowing the kind of information that is found on their credit report. But this notion should be changed considering that the need to present a credit report does not only arise when a person needs to borrow cash.

There are instances when landlords and other businesses will need to take see the information that is found on your credit report. Even some employers in Singapore (like in other parts of the world) look for their applicants' credit record and use the information they find as one basis in making their decisions. So if you want to get higher approval rating, it's important that you maintain your credit record clean.

A credit record contains nothing but facts and details of the financial transactions a person has made. Companies that provide credit records to businesses often use different formats. But this shouldn't be a big deal since most credit records are usually easy to read and understand.
