A high performance team can best be described as a grouping of like-minded professionals pursuing a similar goal. This group requires as little as resources and support to do amazing things. Define your goals and provide direction to your team. Achieving results requires a clear vision and mission. The leaders must have the wisdom to distinguish between the two. This vision should be devolved and sold in such a way that everyone adapts it with the least resistance possible and owns it. Translate this vision into priority actions, initiatives and finally allocate required resources.

Gather and deploy the right resources. There are three resources in question. People, hard resources or money and time. You must achieve a perfect balance in order to be successful. Leadership is an invaluable resource that must be provided for any team to succeed.

Your vision, the actions you take, confidence in their execution and the courage to take risks will determine whether you achieve your goals or not.
