The possible problems that cause the shutdown can be low water level, high or low water and gas pressure and several other reasons that affect the function of the boiler. There are boilers that have shutdown devices attached with time clocks and temperature device and it shutdowns as soon as the set limit is reached. So, it might not be a problem, every time the shut off is triggered.
