The Need For High Friction Surface Treatment Companies

By Brenda Hughes

Friction is the force of opposition that exists when two objects are in close association with one another. It has lots of disadvantages such as reducing the efficiency of machines, noise pollution and increase in expenses. Overcoming frictional force in machines takes a major part of most budgets and this has become recurrent because the right methods are not usually employed. This means high friction surface treatment is needful if the benefits of less friction are to be derived. It is important to call for help especially if you are not an expert in this field.

This force can be prevented in several ways and there are a number of reasons to engage in this. Lubrication is one of the most common ways of doing it. The objective of applying lubricants is to smoothen surfaces and reduce direct contact as much as possible. Lubricants with high viscosity will save your machines more than others that tend to be cheaper. You can seek advice if you are in doubt of the best lubricant for your machines.

Another way of controlling this is by using bearing surfaces. The bearing surfaces used are sacrificed for the benefit of the machines. The idea behind this is to raise the surfaces to avoid or reduce contact. It is when the contact is reduced that frictional force can be eliminated. Lubrication prevents direct contact by providing a layer for their sliding. Grease is also important in this aspect.

One will not hesitate to fight against friction if the demerits are well understood. It causes noise, which leads to severe health problems in man. First of all, noise constitutes pollution and can cause deafness if intense. Headaches and other traumatic effects are bound to occur if a person is in an environment where many of them are located. The loss of good health implies increased expenses for the treatment of workers and this will lead to reduced profits.

Another aim of this practice is to reduce heat loss. Heat loss from the machines can cause discomfort to the workers and this can also reduce their inefficiency. The emitted heat is also bad in the sense that some heat related problems such as stress, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat rash and heat syncope may arise. Other symptoms that follow include nausea, weakness, dizziness, headache, seizures, confusion and coma.

The resistance to relative motion will cause more work to be done by the machines. As more work is done, more fuel is added to provide energy. It also increases the cost of electricity and loss may be recorded if the manufacturer is not careful.

The major effect of frictional force is the deterioration of machines. It increases depreciation and the need for prompt replacement when worn out. This also means that production may stop for some time before the machine is replaced. If this happens, the company may be losing some valuable customers to other competitors.

These anomalies can be avoided by establishing relationships with some good high friction surface companies. This is even more advisable if you have no experience or knowledge of frictional force. Do not forget that it is better to prevent these demerits than to look for curative measures.
